Bow Tie Teddy Crochet Pattern

I’m a firm believer that a child can never have too many stuffed animals. When I was little, my room was filled to the brim with bunnies and dolls and teddy bears.

So, keeping with that tradition here’s the Bow Tie Teddy.

This classic teddy is made in soft grays with an adorable bow tie added in. It’s made using Universal Uptown Worsted Yarn which is 100% acrylic. Acrylic is machine washable and extra soft, so your little one can cuddle their new friend to their heart’s desire.

This is the perfect gift for the little ones in your life who need another guest for their tea parties. Or give it to someone you know who is expecting a baby!

I have a friend who has been put on bed rest during her pregnancy, so I came up with a cool idea to save her from boredom. I put together a Crochet Kit that has all the yarn needed to make this project and the digital crochet pattern included.

Now she can make her newborn’s first ever stuffed animal, and she can keep herself entertained while respecting the doc’s orders!

If you have someone in mind who needs a little creativity in their life, send them a kit!  Or get one for yourself because you deserve to have fun too.

Assembly and finishing:

Beginning with the bow tie, take one of the tails of the strap and sew to the center of the bow tie. Wrap the strap around the bear’s neck, and sew the other side to the center of the bow tie. Center unstuffed arm pieces 1 row down from bow tie strap in the desired position, and whip st the open end to the body. Stuff the leg pieces and shape.  Place legs in desired position 2-3 rows up from the center of the bottom, and whip st in place. Using latte yarn, wrap it around the fingers about 75 times. Tie a 10” piece of yarn around the center, and slide off fingers before tightening the knot. Trim ends and fluffs into pom pom shape. Use the tails to attach to the backside, and weave the ends back into the pom pom. Trim the tails to blend in with the rest of the pom pom.
