Finishing and assembly:
Make 3 pom poms in each of the 3 remaining colors (pink, light lavender, french vanilla). If not using a pom pom maker, wrap the yarn around 2 fingers about 250 times. Take a length of yarn in the same color, and tie around the center tightly. Slide off of fingers, and cut the ends to form pom pom, leaving the tie string long so they may be used for attaching pom poms to the basket. Fluff and trim pom poms to shape, then attach to the basket by placing in the desired location, and pulling each of the long tails through on either side of the st. Double knot ends together, and use the yarn needle to push back through the pom pom. Trim to blend in. Weave in all other ends.
This storage basket is so cute I can’t get over it. Plus, the yarn colors remind me of an ice cream sundae. I love the way it pops in any room and I think you will too.
If your kiddo isn’t a big fan of pastels, or if you’re looking for a different color scheme, this colorspun yarn is available in an array of colors so you can make your basket as unique as your home.
